Urbanscapes

Arts Curator & Programme Manager · 2018

With a limited budget, the challenge was to create an engaging, well-rounded arts programme spanning three weeks. A personal mission was also to encourage collaboration between creative disciplines, something that was still relatively uncommon at the time.

With the support of local arts communities and the team's can-do attitude, we developed a dynamic, multidisciplinary programme. Highlights included introducing site-specific dance to the Kuala Lumpur public, developing original theatre pieces, and presenting diverse work ranging from refugee-focused exhibitions to installations created from recycled materials.

Voice Guild Malaysia Video

Producer · Director · Scriptwriter · Storyboard Artist · 2024

This small but mighty organisation of Malaysian voice-over talents wanted a video that was both professional and playful, communicating who they are and the value they bring to their stakeholders.

The result was an animated film with an authentic local flavour, celebrating the rich diversity of Malaysian voices.

Cube

Original Concept Creator · Co-Host · Ntv7 · 2010

The story of how Cube came to life is one of multiple layers of synchronicity.

While working as a newsroom producer at ntv7, I had spent two weeks sketching out ideas for a current-affairs talk show. Unbeknownst to me, the station had simultaneously received a management directive to develop a new programme for Gen Y.

That coincidence created an extraordinary opportunity: at just 25 years old, I watched an idea from my sketchbook become a nationally broadcast television show.

Urban Decay: VICE After Dark

Concept · Narrative Development · Performer and Costume Sourcing · 2016

An immersive theatre experience created to launch Urban Decay's 24 lipstick shades.

The concept transformed the entrance to the No-Tell Motel into an encounter with a fortune teller. Each guest's fate was determined by the lipstick shade they selected, prompting a personalised piece of poetry filled with clues for them to decipher their next steps.

A playful, theatrical way of transforming a product launch into an interactive storytelling experience.
